Hamas terrorists attacked Kibbutz Nahal Oz and a nearby IDF military base on the morning of October 7th, 2023. Hamas ran over the military base as well as the kibbutz. Around sixty Israeli soldiers were killed in addition to six soldiers being taken into captivity in Gaza. At the kibbutz fifteen people were killed and eight taken to Gaza as hostages. Many residents had to stay hiding completely alone in uncertain circumstances for almost 24 hours.

In this remarkable encounter we are going to have with us a survivor and we will see original documentary footage taken during the assault. A young man, Daniel Sumrov, was supposed to be at the Nova festival. In the footage he speaks about what happened to him on October 7. Yekaterina Sumrova, her husband and son were at home in Nahal Oz. We will be seeing original security camera footage from inside their home. They were hiding as the terrorists were inside.

Yekaterina Sumrova will be joining us from Israel. Representing the film-makers Vladimir Karttunen and Pirjo Karttunen, Pirjo, who is the Vice Chairperson of the March of Life in Finland, will be joining us from Helsinki, Finland. There will be an opportunity to ask questions.
