1.5 million Jewish children were murdered in the Holocaust.
We honor them—one stone at a time. Each child’s name, birthday, and place of passing is painted on a stone and placed in the Garden of Hope as a lasting reminder to stand up against hate. Request a kit with 20 stones, paint, markers, and the names of 20 children to commemorate.
Our Upstander Stone Project memorializes their names, giving us a tangible way to remember them. We aim to paint a stone for each child who was murdered.
Volunteers from across Texas and beyond — individuals, families, corporations, schools, clubs, and nursing homes — are painting these stones for the Holocaust Garden of Hope.
In Jewish tradition, stones symbolize the eternal existence of a person and are commonly left at memorials worldwide.
Contact us to request a kit of 20 stones, complete with paint, markers, and the names of 20 children to memorialize. Visitors to the Holocaust Garden of Hope can witness these stones and only begin to grasp the magnitude of innocent lives lost.
